After the attacks in Paris on Friday night, Liberal Democrats across Europe expressed their condolences over the terrorist attacks and showed solidarity with France. On Monday at 12:00 European Liberal Democrats joined Europe in one minute of silence to honour those killed in Paris.
This week, ALDE Party President Sir Graham Watson will officially open the 36th ALDE Party Congress. The opening ceremony will take place on Friday 20 November from 11:00 to 12:15 CET. Livestream will be available during the ceremony.
During the Congress in Budapest, delegates will vote and adopt policy positions on a range of topical issues including, a new liberal response to the current refugee crisis, TTIP, the conflicts in Iraq and Syria, and a liberal approach to tackling climate change ahead of the forthcoming COP21 conference.
