After seven years of intensive negotiations, the European Parliament has today approved the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement between the European Union and Canada (CETA). ALDE Group leader Guy Verhofstadt said: ‘We have shown that the European Union is a credible and reliable trading partner.”

Before that, European Liberals will meet from 2 to 3 June 2017 in Ljubljana for the ALDE Party Council.
