Hans van Baalen MEP has been re-elected as ALDE Party President and Timmy Dooley, Fredrick Federley, Ilhan Kyuchyuk, Markus Loning, Joanna Schmidt and Annelou van Egmond as Vice Presidents. Congratulations!
One of the main objectives of the ALDE Party Congress is the adoption of policy resolutions. This year, Congress delegates adopted resolutions on topical matters, such as on Brexit, migration, transnational coalitions, European security & defence, false news from Russia, and green solutions.
Individual members reached a new height at the ALDE Party Congress in Amsterdam. They were omnipresent with 200 members that came from all across Europe. Four dedicated meetings were held for and by the individuals and a dedicated stand allowed new people to sign up for membership.
Iniciativa Liberal from Portugal, Partit Demokratiku from Malta, LDS from Bosnia and Pametno and GLAS from Croatia are the new ALDE member parties. The next Council meeting will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria, in April 2018, and the next Congress in Madrid, Spain, in autumn 2018.

Co-hosted by Estonian Minister of Economic Affairs and Infrastructure Kadri Simson, liberal Transport Ministers met in Brussels ahead of the Transport Council meeting. The ministers agreed that the legislation proposed by the First Mobility Package needs to respond to new challenges in the mobility sector.

We are looking for a Communication Intern, who will help us with the preparations towards the 2019 European Elections campaign, and for an Administrative Intern, who will get involved in all parts of the administrative work of the secretariat.
